this is a little blurb that i wrote reflecting on who i was when i was 16 years old. here are some unfinished thoughts of how the Lord started working on my heart in miraculous ways.
“when i was 16, my voice crawled its way out of my stomach and the sweet taste of bitterness crossed my lips.
when i was 16, i cut my hair, quit wearing makeup, started blogging about feminism, and threw up two middle fingers to the world.
when i was 16, i found my calling.
when i was 16, people told me that my passion was invalid and a hypocrisy to my faith.
when i was 16, i told them “fuck you”.
when i was 16, i learned that being a strong female was hard, but being a strong female in the church was harder.”
